I truly wonder if the quirky rock by Canadian oddballs Angine de Poitrine is here to stay. Their star is still very much shining brightly after their viral session for KEXP at Trans Musicales 2025 and even though I expected myself to lose interest after a while, I found myself taking an instant liking to their February release ‘Fabienk’ and now I’m hooked to the two peculiar musicians yet again. I don’t quite know what these strangely dressed extra terrestrials are after – perhaps world domination?! – but if they keep on doing in such a funky and entertaining way, I will happily bow down and follow their orders ’til the end of time.
