Had an amazing time seeing Hail The Sun and Kurt Travis yesterday! Since I’ve seen Hail The Sun twice before, I knew exactly what I was in for and I’m pleased to say Donovan Melero’s band successfully lived up to my expectations once more. The biggest surprise of the night, however, might’ve been the end of Kurt Travis’ set. Since a stop in The Netherlands is quite rare for acts within this genre (it was Hail The Sun’s first ever gig in NL!), they made sure to play some old-school songs to please the fans that have been waiting for many years to ever hear these particular songs live. Yet, I did not expect the former singer of Dance Gavin Dance to then actually go and play some songs from his DGD-era! Such a cool surprise! In the end, the entire night turned out to be a big success and I’m very happy I made the trip up to this part of the country I rarely ever visit myself. ‘Til next time!
