I noticed I’ve been a bit late with uploading my Jam of Todays on the website recently, apologies for that! Life’s a bit busy at the moment. All good stuff, though! It’s just that things take up a lot of my time recently and additionally, I have been playing a steady set of artists over the last few days and weeks which I don’t continuously want to keep highlighting on the blog for the sake of the littlest bit of diversity that I can at least try and uphold. Ha! Taking a rare flick through the artists I’ve been playing on repeat recently without having shared them on the blog, perhaps this song is worth mentioning today. Oneohtrix Point Never has made it onto Jam of Today already in the past with two phenomenal songs in ‘Long Road Home‘ and ‘Lost But Never Alone‘ – the latter being one of my favourite songs of all-time – but 2015 release ‘Sticky Drama’ is certainly worth a spot amongst those two, too. See, this song reminds me a bit of my number one electronic music album – ‘Agor’ by Koreless – though in true Daniel Lopatin-style, this song blends in a fair bit of the experimental and chaotic electronica, too, which in its own right feels like a bit of Squarepusher or Aphex Twin at times has been added to the mix. I just love all this weird and noisy madness!
