It’s funny how the start of this year has been (from a music perspective) much different than the last few years for me. Usually by this time, I would’ve already collected a dozen of albums in my ‘Album of the Year’-playlist, one which I create very early in the year already to collect all new album releases I’ve taken a liking to. So far this year, I’ve only dumped a measly three (!) albums into my playlist, averaging just one new album a month. Pathetic! I definitely need to step up my game if I want to treat us all to another solid December special this year… Instead of picking up on new albums, I find myself stuck in some of last year’s gems such as Soul Blind’s ‘Red Sky Mourning’. ‘Billy’ has grown to be one of my favourites off of this album, and a properly underrated one at that, too.
