Started off my day well today by going for my first run in a long while! It’s been a busy and rough year of either terrible weather or me feeling under the weather so I’m glad today I could finally pick up on some exercise again. I found myself doing a 10k run in about an hour so I’m pretty pleased with that, too! Additionally, this was a great opportunity to explore some of my new neighbourhoods, although half of my run took me past an industrial site, ha! Still plenty of time to polish the route, I suppose. I certainly enjoy doing some exercise, whether it’s going out on a run or cycle or participate in the odd team sport. Perhaps you would be expecting me to have plenty of playlists dubbed “Sports Songs” or whatever, but in stark contrast with the topic of this entire blog (adding songs to a playlist), I thoroughly enjoy just shuffling whatever music is playing and not really caring about what comes on at all. Therefore, I get treated to a wild hodgepodge of genres and styles when I’m training. Overall, though, I must admit that the more powerful tunes give me a bit more motivation to go just that extra mile, so maybe we can add to that flavour by going for one hell of a song today.
