I got a holiday lined up and waiting for me next week so I better start preparing some albums to listen to on the way to my destination. I usually tend to download around 10 albums I’m currently listening to, mixed with a few classics I will always enjoy and a few genres outside the range of the ones I’m listening to at this moment. Recently, I’ve dug up Hawthorne Heights’ 2006 emo-classic ‘If Only You Were Lonely’, which they will be playing in full in a venue near my house soon after I’ve returned from my trip. Sadly, the gig is sold out already but it has given me more than enough reason to wallow in some good ol’ emo music again. Perhaps this could be a good starting point for my upcoming holiday, although it might turn out to be a bit of a sad one if I download too much music within this genre…
