While I was stuck in my noise-bubble, I found something interesting. So, mega-viral-hype-success aliens Angine de Poitrine (who have just released their pretty solid second album ‘Vol. 2‘) have been part of another project in the past, this being noise band La Poêsse (later referred to as La Poexe). This Canadian group will have apparently contained the two mysterious figures known as Khn and Klek, who are now protagonists in their own otherworldly master plan to conquer planet earth. Unsurprisingly, nothing has been confirmed nor denied, but the fact that both bands are 1) from the seemingly unknown Canadian town of Saguenay, 2) contain a baritone guitar player and drummer only, and 3) sound somewhat similar to each other (though La Poexe being a lot heavier than Angine de Poitrine) seems like there’s certainly something fishy going on in the world of experimental math music… I always kind of enjoy diving into masked artist’s background stories, like that time I bought myself a Nü Sensae record ‘cos it turned out to be Canadian masked alt. country singer Daniel Pitout, more famously known as Orville Peck’s old band. Well, I guess that’s a story for another day. Here’s some solid underproduced noise for you in the form of Klek and Khn’s – or shall I say Charles Thibeault and Marc-Antoine Mackin-Guay – (suspected) old band La Poexe.
