#2935: Bo Ningen – Soko

One of the things I enjoy the most while being on holiday is – as funny as it may seem – doing the regular things I’d like to do at home, too. Things like going on walks, visit local bars, and attend events and gigs are amongst things I enjoy the most in life and experiencing those ‘normal’ things in a totally different environment is what really makes a holiday for me. I usually couldn’t care less about any tourist-catered thing whatsoever. Instead, you will find me strolling on paths no regular visitor would usually think to walk on, experiencing a totally different culture by walking around and soaking it all up as I go. Of course, I will always make sure to enjoy the beauty that my destination has to offer and I will grasp as much of the unknown as possible, but I’d love to do that by just doing the same things I enjoy most while back home. For my upcoming trip, I’m planning on attending at least one gig, although I’m not quite sure what I’ll end up going to. In a crazy turn of events, Hawthorne Heights is playing in Tokyo on one of the days I’ll be there, too, and I literally found out the evening after I posted them on this blog last week! What are the odds?! Whether I will be attending this show by the emo-legends is still up in the air, since I’d probably rather try and catch a show by a Japanese band, instead. Take Bo Ningen, for example. Wouldn’t it be epic to discover an amazing ‘local’ (the Japanese members of Bo Ningen formed the band while located in London) act such as this one?
