If you’re into the heavier, grungier, and grittier kind of rock and metal: here’s an album I can certainly recommend for you to check out this year. Silo’s ‘Haze’ appeared on my radar after seeing the group hailing from the Isle of Man perform live on 2000trees this year, resulting in me being thoroughly impressed with their set and subsequently checking out this full-length as soon I arrived back home. I’ve shared lead single ‘Crawl In A Bottle’ here on the blog before and as we’ve now moved from one season to another, I noticed that particular song travelling alongside me on my journeys and more often than not did I find myself playing this song on repeat. A recipe for success, therefore I couldn’t leave ‘Haze’ unnoticed and I’m glad I’ve been reaching back for it quite a fair few times over the last few months. A true hidden gem that could potentially end up being one of my favourite heavy albums of 2026.
