We’re back on the road again and honestly, it was a bit of a slog for me today. I wasn’t quite excited to jump back in our bumpy van again – especially after another super early morning – but luckily, our stops made up for it. First, we had a great cup of coffee and chat with the lovely owners of café Labo, pretty much in the middle of nowhere in Nara prefecture and a few hours later, we found ourselves next to the world’s largest Torii gate. A true sight to behold! Anyway, usually during the days I’m not quite feeling the vibe, I try and find a moment to play some music and for the second time during this holiday, I spun the hell out of Politie Warnsveld’s EP ‘Was Het Nou Maar Zo’. It’s a bit unusual for me to hype up a ska act this much but I just feel like the Nijmegen lot have got it all right: musically, lyrically, their entire package is a hit for me. Additionally, it goes down very well for me on a road trip so why don’t you have another banger off of this EP too, aye?
