The more time I spend in Japan, the more motivated I become to learn all there is to learn about this country. From its language to its culture and history; speaking with the local people really makes me want to get to know all the ins and outs of Japan. Having one person in our group who speaks fluent Japanese, I envy the ease of partaking in conversations with the locals who have mostly all been very friendly and welcoming to us. The fact that you can speak the littlest of Japanese already intrigues them to ask all sorts of things. Today, we had quite a chill day which gave us some time to slow down and spend some more time at the bars and cafes we visited, which was of much interest to some of the hosts who easily engaged in conversation with us. I can’t wait ‘til I’ve mastered (or; somewhat understand) the language and become our group’s second designated linguist!
