If all would’ve gone according to the plans I was hoping to make at the start of this year, I would’ve found myself at my first main festival of this year today: Best Kept Secret, down south in The Netherlands. By my way of phrasing, you can probably tell I didn’t end up going after all. A combination of holidays, money, and overall free time prevented me from securing a ticket for this festival and thus, it’s the first one I can cross off of my ‘2026 Festivals’ list. I’m not too sad about it, to be honest. The line-up is really nice, yes, but I’ve been so busy recently that I don’t mind postponing my festival summer with another week or two. Besides, the weather’s not that great this weekend anyway! It does mean, however, that I won’t be able to catch Yard Act live as they will undoubtedly play ‘Redeemer’ and more songs ahead of their recently announced album ‘You’re Gonna Need A Little Music’ (out July 17th).
