I’m being slightly influenced by music I’ve heard playing at the office recently which makes me pretty happy, since the music at our office used to be quite terrible. As I’m working in a diverse team of music specialists, I often find my colleagues playing music that’s slightly more soothing to them than it is to me. However, since we’ve recently tried a different approach by giving more airtime to our collaborative playlist, I’ve noticed a drastic increase in musical quality in the workplace. Not that it immensely influences my day in any kind of way, since I’m usually either stuck listening to a particular set of music for my job or otherwise playing my own favourite music through my headphones. But, you know, in the odd moment I’m not wearing my headphones, it’s pretty nice hearing a classic by Death Cab for Cutie over any Olivia Dean or Bruno Mars song. Honestly, hearing that stuff makes me go absolutely insane these days… Anyway, the fact that I’m talking about my work during the weekend tells you all you need to know about the productiveness of my day today.
