I’ve been all about underground Dutch music since sharing Gijsjaradijsja yesterday, though arguably today’s band is swiftly crawling out of the darkest crevices of the nether already and making name for themselves all across the country. Politie Warnsveld hit a home run at the start of this year by playing an awesome show at Noorderslag but the Nijmegen based group really went flying after releasing their EP ‘Was Het Nou Maar Zo‘. The Dutch ska punk band has played shows all across the country including big festival performances at Jera on Air, Zwarte Cross, and – coming weekend – Lowlands. ‘Bang Voor Het Licht’ was the first ever tune by Politie Warnsveld my colleague shared with me and I’m so glad he did, since I still get large amounts of joy from playing this song. The true catalyst for discovering this band’s entire repertoire.
