Another one from my iTunes vault, though I think I can quite easily get away with this one – trust me, it could be a lot worse. In fact, there’s nothing too bad about this song or this band at all, if you ask me. Though, I did notice how incredibly dated alt-J sounds now in 2026. I don’t exactly know why that is. It probably doesn’t help that this 2015-parody instantly pops into my head every time I hear someone mention this band. Anyway, I had forgotten about ‘In Cold Blood’ off of their 2017-release ‘RELAXER’ and I think it’s worth a spot in the playlist as the second alt-J song after (genuinely) one of my favourite songs of all time in ‘Taro‘.
