Now that Jera on Air is behind us, I can officially start looking forward to the next festival on the calendar: 2000trees. As per usual since about 5 years or so, I’ll be heading to the UK’s Cotswolds to visit what is my number one festival amongst, well… pretty much all festivals. This year’s line-up features a wide variety of alternative rock and metal acts, ranging from classic bands such as Funeral For A Friend, Alkaline Trio, and Sunny Day Real Estate to future favourites in Bodyweb, Aerial Salad, and Alpha Male Tea Party, topping it off with some long-awaited comebacks by Marmozets and Arcane Roots. This, alongside many more great bands, a fantastic crowd and an unmatched atmosphere, makes 2000trees an absolute must-visit for me every single year. A no-brainer when I start drafting my festival schedule. As an added milestone, this year’s edition will mark the first ever 3-day festival I’ll be attending all by myself. After going to at least one festival every year for about 15 years now, I’m excited and curious to find out how I will get along exploring this all-familiar ambiance all on my own.
