I’ve been on a strong album spree this week. I often find myself shuffling between either listening to a playlist or sticking with full albums for a while and this week, I certainly felt like doing the latter. It’s been a pretty diverse week, I must say, given that I spun a lot of ska punk after rediscovering Streetlight Manifesto earlier but also took to some old indie favourites again in Two Door Cinema Club’s ‘Tourist History’ and The Temper Trap’s ‘Conditions’. As always, I made sure to spend enough time with some good ol’ post-hardcore, too. The only type of music pretty much missing out on this week’s fun is anything related to electronica. Adult DVD’s ‘Dogs In The Sun’ is probably the closest I got this week, given that I haven’t spun much dance at all in a while (bar that forgotten dubstep tune I stumbled upon late last night, but we’ll talk about that some other time…). A bit of dance punk will tick the electronica box off the list, I reckon.
